HEY STRANGER!
“
Temperatures are climbing and the sunshine is stretching later and later into the evening. The skiing and riding are full of soft snow and sunny slopes, but the valley has given way to green again and the ice is retreating back into the Lake. We may get hit with a late season snowstorm, but it’s only a matter of time now. After a long COVID winter, Spring has never been so welcome.
On the human front, we continue to be vigilant in our efforts to protect residents and guests. Like winter, the virus may hang on a while longer, but the vaccine is doing what a vaccine does. In the meantime, face masks and six feet are still the norm, but the poetic justice of exiting the pandemic at the very moment the earth begins its annual reopening could not be more poignant.
Tolstoy said, “Spring is the time of plans and projects.” With that in mind, take a deep breath of fresh spring air and start planning your next trip! We’ve got a destination that’s off the beaten path, but not off the grid, offers access to an incredible range of outdoor activities, and is just a gas pedal away. Now that the weather is turning, the Green mountains and Lake Champlain have started to form a summer playground like no other. And we haven’t even mentioned beer, food or shopping yet!
As per the new abnormal, please check and respect the STATE OF VERMONT'S CURRENT TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS when making plans. We pride ourselves on being a safe destination for our guests and our residents alike so when you’re here, wear a mask when you should, wash your hands when you can, maintain physical distancing, and please, have a great time discovering the Queen City!

The word "Winooski" means “Land of onions” or “Place of the wild onions” and long before Winooski became a city, it was home to early Native American settlement(s) whose inhabitants found the falls, floodplains, and forests particularly hospitable.
