THINGS TO DO IN BURLINGTON

For a small city, Burlington packs a wallop. From paddling the lake to climbing the mountains to shopping local on the Church Street Marketplace, Burlington is a different sort of destination. But don’t forget about some of our “tourist attractions” if you’re visiting (or even if you live here!)

In Vermont terms, we’re a big city, but in reality, we’re very much a part of Vermont. And that means that agriculture plays a big part in the Burlington experience. Towns across the region host their own farmer’s markets in the warm months and Burlington hosts an indoor market in the winter months as well. You’ll find organic produce, pasture-raised local meats, artisanal baked goods and more.

The Burlington area has a plethora of good shopping options so whether you’re looking for some outdoor gear for an outing, want a gift to bring back home, or just need some retail therapy, there are plenty of great options for you.

From mountain resort courses and beautiful private courses, to picturesque public courses offering both 9 and 18 holes. Burlington is a great destination to plan your next golfing trip. With an abundant amount of courses nearby, the links are just a 7-Iron away.
